OVERVIEW

StoryLine, is a content management system (CMS) that publishes news and entertainment content across the web, mobile, OTT Apps (Over the Top Applications) and other distribution channels. The re-design of the search experience in the CMS is focused on improving the productivity and reduce the time spent on building stories and programming content for the OTT producers working on STIRR as well as News Producers. STIRR is a video streaming application that works across multiple platforms which features local and national programming, as well as live on-demand programming.

The OTT producers that are currently building compelling programming content are the main focus of the new search experience. The producers are investing long periods in searching and filtering content. Hence, the need for a redesigned search experienced was created to facilitate the process of finding content in the CMS. As part of the process, a holistic analysis from our digital news producers was required to make this new experience successful.
